Jamaicans at the Olympic Games

 Three hundred and seven three (373) Jamaican athletes have taken part in the Olympics, beginning with London Games in 1948.

The 153 men and 220 women earned 22 gold, 35 silver and 21 bronze medals.

All but one of the 79 medals are in athletics, with David Weller taking the bronze in cycling. His was in the 1,000 m time trial at the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

So far 91 Jamaican athletes have won an Olympic medal, led by the legend Usain Bolt and Veronica Campbell-Brown, eight medals each. Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce, a big-occasion and legendary performer, has six Olympic medals and should grab at least two more in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

Jamaica have participated in 18 Summer Olympics, the most impressive in London 2012 with 12 medals: four gold, five silver and three bronze.
